The footage is raw. It was apparently intended for a documentary that was never completed. Anyway, Welles tells the story of making his last feature so brilliantly and with such humor that I simply must post it here. My favorite bit is his answer to the question about what inspired him to film The Trial. It’s boring in a wonderful wonderful way.
