Astronomy Picture of the Week
I’m still working on the narrowband images for the nebulae I imaged last week. (Higher learning curve with a color camera than I expected. I may need more GIMP plug-ins.) So here’s Jupiter from 7/11. Io is to its right and close, with its shadow falling across the northern equatorial belt of the giant planet, which is hard to see here because of the shadow’s small size and low contrast with the belt.
