I always enjoy November sweeps because that’s when Fox News gins up its new manufactured controversies to rile its easily riled audience. (Fox News viewers’ moods are a two stroke engine forever oscillating between shock and rage.) This year’s model: the war on men.

Because this November is making a compelling case for the lousiest 4-week span I’ve ever experienced (awards ceremony in March), I bought something to cheer me up. It’s not much, but as an author and educator, I’m obviously of a man with limited resources:
