Are You Pondering What I’m Pondering?
In one sense, it’s unlikely. My Dad’s health has declined still further, which, though expected, is proceeding faster than I anticipated. I see him again this weekend. Ordinarily I could talk to him about the election. Dad always liked to chat, often loudly, about politics. But he’s lost interest in most of his interests, so the bulk of our conversation will be about me getting him to open his mouth so that I can spray the proper dose of morphine in.
So it goes.
While I’d encourage you to buy Dismantle the Sun, it is possible to get it for free, thanks to Librarything. (Scroll down a bit and you’ll see it.) The giveaway will be November 28th, so be sure to request it before then.
I voted already. If you haven’t, you should probably set about doing so, particularly if you also plan to vote for Barack Obama, Jay Inslee, and R-74. (Those last two would be relevant to you only if you live in the State of Washington, of course.) If your sympathies lie elsewhere, I recommend voting anyway, because your politics, however depraved and bestial it may be, should nevertheless be given its proper voice, as a matter of principle.
That’s all for now.
