It’s a novel only half as long as its two older siblings, and I know it’s going to need a lot of work before I can, in good conscience, inflict it on human beings who want to be entertained, but the first draft of the new book is now complete.

The rush of accomplishment will be short lived, but I’ll luxuriate in it for a night anyway.
