Steve Shives put me on to this series of questions for atheists by apologist Matt Slick. (Unfortunate name, I know, but let’s try not to hold that against him.). I’ve done this before, with a series from Today’s Christian. Slick’s list of questions, 31 in all, is more involved, though some of the questions strike… Continue reading My Answers To 31 Questions For Atheists
I dedicate this post to someone who’s recently taken to trip-trapping on my bridge uninvited. Take it away, Mr. Shives: What he said.
Steve Shives presents another fine entry in his addictive “Five Stupid Things…” series. While I do have one quibble with its description of Nazi administrative efficiency–Hitler’s government was many things, but, with its multiple competing bureaucracies with overlapping (and sometimes identical) powers, it was hardly efficient–it’s worth watching. Originally these answers were… Continue reading Did Today’s Christian’s “10 Questions For Every Atheist” Stump Me?

My lame list includes everything from the Congressional election results, to money woes, to the Oakland Raiders’ Commitment to Excrement, to my recent bout of shingles. But 2014 didn’t serve up only stinkburgers. There were some aspects of this year that I actually liked. I’ll… Continue reading 2014: The Year In Things That Didn’t Suck
Because I’ve been on the edge of poverty a few times, this particular installment in the Five Stupid Things series really spoke to me. Preach on, Brother Steve.
Steve Shives, one of my favorite Youtubers, is talking about Mark Driscoll, the lying sexist homophobe who started Mars Hill Church, which is a big deal among the dudebros of the my friendly neighborhood’s religious right. He’s been kicked out of the church he founded, but I don’t think the church’s board has nominated a successor to continue… Continue reading Local Grifter Makes Shives’s List Of Five Stupid Things Of 8/11
