As I may have mentioned once or twice, Summer of Long Knives, my new thriller set in pre-war Nazi Germany, is due to come out in mid-September. Not entirely coincidentally, I am looking for people who are interested in joining Uncle Jim’s Chamber of Secrets, a private, invitation only Facebook group dedicated to providing feedback for and helping spread the word about Summer Of Long Knives (as well as Dismantle the Sun and earlier works of mine). Your feedback is invaluable and I hope you’ll be interested in participating.
As a member of U.J.C.O.S., you’ll not only receive an electronic edition of the book before it’s available to the public but also gain exclusive access to me, your fellow members, and everyone else responsible for the book via the private Facebook group. You’ll get first looks at covers and content, and insight into how Summer was conceived, written, and published. In addition, I’ll be holding a half hour live video discussion for Chamber members only on Skype on 09/09/2013.
In return, all I ask is that you leave a short, honest review of Summer of Long Knives on Amazon no later than 11/01/2013, and share the release date and your feedback with everyone and anyone you may know. The group will also, from time to time, hold brainstorming sessions at U.J.C.O.S. on how to bring Summer to a wider audience through book clubs and meet ups.*
Intrested? Send an email to jim_snowden at mac.com with your name, email address, and a brief explanation of what makes you want to join Uncle Jim’s Chamber of Secrets by 08/09/2013. Those selected will be notified via email on 08/12/2013 and receive their advance electronic edition of Summer of Long Knives. (I should mention at this time that I am susceptible to flattery.)
Thank you in advance for your help in launching my newest novel. Your support is greatly appreciated!
*We also intend to use covert methods and sinister operatives to dominate the world’s governments, keep the aliens under wraps, rig the Oscars so Shia LaBeouf gets Best Actor, and fix it so the Buffalo Bills never win the Super Bowl. That’s not to leave this blog. Thanks.
